WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM MY BRACES TREATMENT?

Many patients ask this question when looking into dental braces. Every case will be different, but most people will have braces for one to three years. Given the length of this commitment, it’s only reasonable that you should have some questions before seeking out dental braces near you. The initial application of your braces will take our dental experts between one and two hours. There may be some soreness in the immediate days following as you adjust to having them in your mouth, but they won’t be painful. We recommend Tylenol for comfort if necessary. An important part of making sure that braces correctly realign your teeth are adjustments. As your teeth get closer to their proper positions, the wire won’t be pulling as much, and we must tighten them to continue your treatment. This regular step will vary for individual patients, but generally, you’ll have to come in to have the archwire tightened every two months or so.
